Life Is Grand :): October 2011

So....to start off this is Breast Cancer Awareness month :) So even if you don't have a pair of your own wonderful boobs (men) go out...where pink..support the women in your life...or if you absolutely cannot where pink (mom) go out and help the cause in some other way. My Coffee is currently selling a few types of wine that are donating part of the sales to the cause and it makes me feel great to be a part of it :) That's a good thing going on at work...then there are not so good things in a way....while working millions of hours can be gratifying come payday...the actual working them is going to run me into the ground haha! I'm exhausted and it's only Thursday...which I keep thinking it's Friday...while my fingers try and write Wednesday :/ don't ask...I don't understand either haha! Good thing..while I am spending so much time at work, I'm getting the extra time to work on my coffee art :) Here's a peak, come by and order a latter and I'll do my best to make you a pretty one hehe!

Last week I went dancing with my good friend Corrie...I am very excited because we are going again!! Woohoo!! Here are some pictures from last weekend...it involved lots of dancing and alcohol..yay!! I must say it's pretty wonderful to just let loose right now...I'm tired of being stressed out and dancing is a wonderful way to relax and get some exercise :) Here are some pictures from last week...there are also some from my sister's continuation of her bday party the following Sunday night haha!! In this family we don't just do one night of bday party....we do two....AT LEAST HAH!

You might see in some of these pictures that I have in fact dyed my hair red....TWICE haha! The first time I didn't think it was drastic enough...I wanted super red..so here is the final product :) I love it and have received tons of compliments...yay!! And apparently it's sassy ;)Another drawback to working millions of hours is that I feel like a mole when I walk outside...the light actually hurts my eyes...sometimes the pain is severe, depending on the weather haha!! I've started tanning regularly...partly to relax and partly because my body needs sunlight...artificial or otherwise.

A couple stories for you now.

Last week I had a "pirate movie moment"...you know when they finally find some treasure and open the box??? No..I did not find treasure haha...but I opened a roll of nickels to find that they are brand new...or appeared to be...they were so shiny...I oooohed and aaaaahhhed and swear I heard people singing "aaahhh" Hahaha!! It was great :)

Today while working the first part of my split-shift...the girl I'm working with catches the oven mitt on fire LMAO...OMG..who rests their hand on the element and turns around and has a conversation? This girl apparently haha, but it's cool whatever...I just told her she was on fire...she put it out. Then during the second half..the girl closing is doing an alright job and then she has to count the money and counts all the change one. coin. at. a. time. Oh my goodness if I ever have to close with her again and she counts the till...I seriously might scream!! The following picture is what I have to say to these two ladies.

So...It's been forever since I last blogged...partially due to having no internet but now I do!! Yay!! So excited to Skype my husband when we can make our schedules work :) Hmmmmm........where to begin....

Okay, so this weigh in is a little late because I've been so busy moving and such but here it is!!

YAY!!!!!!!
I don't know if you all can see that but that's a total loss of 56 pounds this year total!!! and 39 pounds since June 1st hehehehehhehe!! I'm so excited and feel great :D

my baby sis is all growed up

This weigh in was extremely difficult for me....I hurt my back about a month back and have not been able to go to the gym or work out for an entire month. :( My back is still giving me trouble, but I'm confident that I'll be able to return to the gym soon...So a loss of 6 pounds is amazing in my mind!! I'm so grateful that I was able to keep it up through diet alone while I re-cooperate :)

By the way....everything is moved up to Beaverton and I'd like to thank everyone who came over and helped me pack, move stuff into the uhaul, countless trips to the thrift store, dump and everyone who drove up and helped me unload....phew! I never would've been able to do it alone! Without your help I never would've been able to spend the two days up in Portland with Fletcher :)

Now I will apologize ahead of time for anyone who rubs me the wrong way in the upcoming month and half....I will not be able to see Fletcher until Thanksgiving and as the weeks go by I'm sure I will become more and more agitated :/ I will do my best to limit myself to a few moments of weakness but I'm not sure I will make it all the way through this time without a few outbursts. It will please you to know that I'm now on Paxil :) I didn't want to be on an everyday pill, but the doctor said that it would be best :/ It seems to be helping..in more ways than one :) I am a little calmer...I still have trouble going to walmart during peak business hours(so I try to avoid it at all costs) or any store for that matter. It's saving me money haha!! as I have to do a quick sweep of the store kind of shopping ;) Also it helps me sleep, which is something that I haven't been able to do very well for a long time now...so for now things are seeming better. I don't wish to stay on this pill forever, but for now I'm okay with it. :)

Last night was my sister Brianna's 22nd birthday :) We had a blast...well what I remember of it haha! We hit a certain point in the night and everything went blank...I was told that I did quite a few things that I have no recollection of :/ but what I can remember was definitely fun hehe! So all in all, we had a good time. It's bittersweet that while I'm writing about her birthday I'm remembering that my sister Sara (who lives in California) is going to be turning 21 this year and I won't be able to celebrate with her :( I miss her and the rest of my Missouri family terribly. I wish there was some miracle that would happen and I would inherit two round trip plane tickets so I could fly down and see my sis for her bday and then fly over for Christmas with my father, his new wife Cheryl, and my brother Jared.

Before I got drunk last night (hehe) I decided to color my hair :) What color you ask? Bright Red!!! It's a color I've never done before...I've done purple-burgandy-red, but this red is new for me :) Very excited about it and have come to realize that I can pull off almost any color of hair...YAY!! Because I love dyeing my hair so :) This is part of the living my life to the fullest...no regrets thing I'm trying...again Thank You Sam! You are a wonderful friend and overall person and you mean so much to me :) You've opened my eyes to a wonderful way of life!

TO SAM: I know that sometimes life can suck but I know you will make it through this...just remember what you told me like a week ago.."girl, you are strong....like me :)" So I know you can do this!! Just think of happy things and before you know it you'll be right back here in good old Roseburg. Also, just hold out til like Mon or Tue when you get my care package...operation tootsie roll is almost complete ;) P.S. KARAOKE!! HEHE....YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!! :)

Well Next Monday will mark the beginning of costumes for A Christmas Carol...wish me luck I'm going to need it haha! I'm also knee deep in rehearsals for The Messiah....goodness gracious here I go again! Well people...I'm exhausted after last nights partying and think I will relax.
